Chillicothe Sophomore Erin Gilliland set a new Chillicothe school record in the 100 hurdles to win the event and help lead her team to the team championship. Gilliland ran a 15.49, shaving more than half a second off the former record of 16:10 held by Meghann Gilliland in 1995. The Lady Hornets also took gold in the 4x100 and 4x800 meter events.
The Chillicothe boys had no gold medals and only one silver, but picked up enough points to finish 2nd overall to Trenton. Chillicothe is now without Sophomore sprinter Mason Palmer, who is injured and out for the season.
