      Alec Whiteside brought home two medals while Lexi Snyder and the girls 4x100 relay team also brought home medals from the MSHSAA Track and Field Championships.
     On the boys side, Whiteside finished 2nd in the shot put for the second straight year. He saved his best effort for his final attempt that went 51' 8.75" to move him into 2nd place behind conference rival Caleb Mathers of Maryville who was the champion with 55' 3". On Friday, Whiteside finished 7th in the discus with a throw of 154' 6". It was his first year qualifying in the discus event.
     The Boys 4x200 relay team of Zach Alperin, DeEll Midgyett, Walker Thomas and Austin Busse finished 13th in the prelims in a time of 1:33.61
     On the girls side, the girls 4x100 relay team of Mackenzie Barnett, Maddie Williams, Olivia Hayes and Erin Gilliland set a new school record of 50.24 to finish 8th in the prelims and move them into the finals. They finished 7th in a time of 50.45. Lexi Snyder finished 5th in the triple jump in a time of 35' 2.5". Erin Gilliland finished 13th in a very fast 300 hurdles field with a time of 48.20. The girls 4x200 relay team of Mackenzie Barnett, Jordyn Circo, Maddie Williams and Erin Gilliland finished 10th in the prelims in a time of 1:47.58 and did not qualify for the finals.
