     The Chillicothe boys' tennis team (6-4) hosted St Joseph Benton at Danner Park, Monday, May 5.  The Hornets were victorious over the depleted Cardinals 9-0.  The Benton team struggling with adversity fielded a team of only four varsity players. 
     Gabe Poling beat Carlos Montoya 8-0.  Nate McKiddy defeated Austin Hendrix 8-1.  Garrett Peterson and Nathan Sims each won 8-0 against their Benton opponents, Eduardo Cruz and Austin Wethered respectively.  In doubles action,
     Gabe Poling and Nathan Sims beat the duo of Montoya and Hendrix 8-0.  The team of Isaiah Barron and Lane Bonderer finished the sweep by defeating the pair of Cruz and Wethered 8-0.
     The Chillicothe team took care of business.  Knowing we had the upper hand, all of the players focused and got lop-sided victories.  The Benton squad competed with a good attitude, trying to make the best out of a difficult
situation.
