| Lady Hornets Head
Coach Ed Douglas says: "The Hornets went a long way to
repeating as MEC champs with a 9-0 victory over Lafayette
Tuesday in St Joe. What could have been a difficult match
turned out to be relatively easy. With this victory the
Hornets have know beaten conference foes Maryville, Savannah,
Cameron and now Lafayette. Although Benton and LeBlond remain
on the conference schedule, Lafayette has beaten both of those
schools already so it would appear the Hornets are in
reasonably good shape. With this victory Chillicothe went to
5-1 on the season. Everyone played well today. Kelly Westphal
who had been sick from the heat after her matches last night,
played especially well after being ill just the night before.
She had a good come from behind victory to win 9-7 in singles
and 8-6 in doubles." |
