Cameron posted
3 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to break open a tied game
and beat Chillicothe 5 to 2 in a conference softball game at
Cameron. Chillicothe coach Stan Baldwin stated his team played great
defense, hit "okay" but made what he called "a couple bone head
mistakes". Kelsey Boley took the loss, allowing 5 runs, only 2
earned, off 6 hits with 2 walks, 3 strike outs and according to
Baldwin, hit 2 batters.
At the plate, Kelsey Boley had two hits, Lauren Jones,
Keely Eckert, Brooke Nelson, Mallory Gaston and Margo Young all had
one hit each with Boley and Young each picking up an RBI.
