5/29-30/15 Individual State Tournament

Day One
     At State Individual Tennis tournaments after day one, Gabe Poling has a chance at a medal Today. In the first day of competition: Gabe Poling beat a Kirksville player 6-2, 6-0, lost to a Barstow player 1-6, 2-6, then beat a Warrensburg player 8-2 to advance to the consolation semi-finals today.
     In doubles play, Garrett Peterson and Nate McKiddy lost the first round to a Barstow team 0-6, 0-6; beat a Carl Junction team 8-4, but then lost to Dexter school 5-8 to end their tournament run.

Day Two
     Chillicothe's Gabe Poling became just the second player in Hornet Boys Tennis history to win a individual singles state medal, bringing home an 8th place finish and the highest finish for Class 1 public school in individual singles tennis in 2015.
     Poling lost to a MICDS player 8-9, (5-7) then lost to Steven Mears of Bishop LeBlond 7-5, 2-6, 2-6. The first place match was between two Barstow players, third place was between two John Burroughs players, and the fifth place match was between two Pembroke Hill players. Poling finished his Senior season with a 30-3 record
