Lady Hornets Head
Coach Ed Douglas says: "The Hornets faced what was
expected to be their toughest challenge to repeat as MEC
Conference Champion when they met Benton at Danner Thursday.
Benton entered the day 5-0 in Conference play compared to
Chillicothe 3-0 in Conference play. Although we knew we had
beaten Benton at the Benton/Savannah Tournament last Friday
that was a different format than a dual and we knew this would
be a tough match. The Hornets win rather easily 8-1. Our girls
new it was a big match and they responded and took care of
business. With the victory today the Hornets moved to 10-1 for
the season and 4-0 in the Conference with 2 remaining
Conference match against LeBlond Monday and Maryville in a
couple of weeks.
