Coach Ed Douglas Says:
     The Lady Hornets felt very fortunate to not have a rainout all year, however they had two back to back Tuesday and Wednesday.
     After starting their last conference match in Maryville Tuesday, it started raining and the match had to be postponed. Then the Hornets went to individual conference at St Joe and that was postponed until Friday because of rain.
     Fortunately, while we were in St Joe I suggested to the Maryville coach that we go to the racquet club and play inside instead of driving all the way back to Maryville Monday for the rescheduled make up. The coach agreed and we finished the match inside Wednesday.
     The Hornets won 8-0 and were ahead in the last match when our court time ran out. With that win the Hornets finished the MEC Conference at 6-0 to repeat as Conference Champs. This also improved their season record to 16-2.
    I am really glad we have that match behind us. With the rainout today we have individual conference Friday in St Joe, then a team district match Tuesday and Wednesday in Chillicothe followed by individual District Thursday so it helps not to have to drive to Maryville Monday. Amanda and I are very proud of our girls. Winning the Conference is always one of our goals for the season and now that one is one we can cross off our list.
