Coach Ed Douglas Says:
     Doubles was played first for District play Tuesday in Chillicothe. Chillicothe the 1st seed in the 5 team District 16 defeated Cameron (who defeated Trenton Monday) 5-0 to improve their record to 17-2 for the season. “Our biggest concern was #1 player Sydnie Whiteside has a 104 temperature the day before and wasn’t able to go to school or practice Monday. Sydnie was still not feeling great but good enough to take care of her position at #1 doubles and #1 singles. Hopefully she will feel better by tomorrow.”
     The match concluded when our team reached 5 wins. Next up is Maryville, scheduled for Wednesday at Danner. “The weather doesn’t look good for Wednesday’s match here or Thursday’s scheduled Individual District in ST Joe. If it rains Thursday we will play individual district Friday. If it rains tomorrow I would guess we would play the District team finals either Saturday or even next Tuesday if MSHAA allows it.
