The
Chillicothe Softball team dropped another game due to late
inning heroics by the opposition, this time a 6 to 4 setback at
home against Lafayette. The Lady Irish scored twice in the top
of the seventh for the win.
Chillicothe's Harlie Jones took the loss, going 7 innings,
allowing six runs, two earned, off six hits with five walks and
two strike outs.
At the plate, Samantha Baldwin had a double, a triple, two
walks, an RBI and two runs scored, Keely Eckert, Brooke Nelson
and Harlie Jones all had one hit.
Coach Stan Baldwin commented that the Lady Hornets'
pitching and catching crew is young and it shows. He said the
team hitting should also be better |
