It
took Chillicothe just 3 innings and 45 minutes to blast
Maryville by the 3-inning mercy rule 15-0. When a team builds a
15 run lead after three innings, or ten run lead after five
innings, the game is over. Chillicothe opened the game
with 10 runs in the first inning and picked up five more in the
third. The team scored 15 runs on 15 hits with just one walk for
the Lady Hornets.
The highlight of the first inning was a home run shot
over the center field fence by Sam Baldwin, one of five Seniors
honored after the game. Everyone that played for Chillicothe
picked up at least one hit. Baldwin ended the night going 3 for
3 with 3 runs scored and six RBI's. |
