The Chillicothe Lady Hornets Soccer team came back from an early three goal deficit to edge St Joseph Bishop LeBlond 4-3 at Chillicothe.
Bishop LeBlond scored three goals in the first seven minutes for an early lead. Chillicothe's normal starting goalie Jaylene Sturguess was not at the game due to an academic honor function. Chillicothe Coach Lance Harvey, who was watching from the press box due to him receiving a red card in Friday's game, said having a new goalie in Kennedie Kieffer took some adjustment for the defenders
After the early onslaught, Chillicothe settled down and kept LeBlond out of the net the rest of the half. After intermission, Chillicothe scored on a Natalie Minnick goal and a Sarah Graves goal to pull to within one goal. Coach Harvey said some adjustments were made at halftime that helped the offense.
Chillicothe tied the game with 5:30 left off a Maggie Pfaff goal. Then, with 36 seconds left, Chillicothe's foreign exchange student from Sweden, Josifn Hjelmaeng sent a bullet through defenders and over the goalie's outstretched arms for the game winning goal.
