Despite losing four starters to
graduation, the Lady Hornets Tennis Team picked up where the
left off last season with a 6-3 home win over Savannah. New Coach Amanda Marsh said she was very proud of her team for working hard to get the win. "Gracy Reeter was down 1-5 and came back to win 10-7. Madison Gregory was down 4-7 and came back to win a tie breaker. Without those two wins, we lose the match." Marsh said their competitive drive and mental toughness were incredibly impressive. She also said her players were in good shape, so she opted to play a Pro-10 instead of the normal Pro-8 for singles. "I think that was a factor for the win as well. My girls seem to do better the longer they play." |
