Their was
plenty of drama in Chillicothe's 60-55 overtime win over
Platte County to win 3rd place in the Savannah Tournament.
Chillicothe scored 8 points in the final 1:06 to tie the game
in regulation, then scored early in overtime and kept the lead
for the win.
The game saw numerous lead changes through regulation.
Platte County led by 8 points with 1:06 left when Cade Snyder
hit a 2 point show, Jack Willard hit a trey with 34 seconds
left then Snyder hit a right wing trey off the rim to tie the
game with 11 seconds left.
Platte County had two trey attempts at the buzzer but
missed both.
The Overtime jump ball was tipped by Platte County but
controlled by Snyder who laid it in and drew the foul to make
a 3 point play. Platte County closed it to one point with 48
seconds left in overtime, but key missed free throws and a
missed trey kept the lead at one and Walker Graves hit two
free throws late for the win.
