The Chillicothe Baseball team scored the winning run in the bottom of the 6th to beat Lawson 2-1 in Chillicothe. The Hornets scored first in the bottom of the first inning when Mason Baxter singled on a line drive to center field, advanced on a ground out and a Jaden Winder single and scored on an error on the left fielder.
Lawson scored in the top of the sixth off back to back doubles to start the inning. Chillicothe bounced back with walks by Bradley Riley and Westley Brandsgaard. With two out, Drew Toedebusch singles on a fly ball to right field, scoring Riley from third base.
Kam Ward came in relief in the top of the 7th and after a strike out, two walks and a single to load the bases, he threw a strike out and forced an infield pop up to end the game.
