Coach Bob Long Says:
The Chillicothe Hornets boys' tennis team (2-5)
lost 1-8 to the Trenton Bulldogs Tuesday at Trenton High
School. Junior Matt Callen and senior Gunnar Young led
throughout their doubles match, but lost it in the
tie-breaker. Juniors Tyler Maasdam and Seth Bayte led early
but couldn't regain their momentum. In singles, Tyler took
advantage of Trenton having an injury in the number one spot
(junior Nick Shields out with sprained ankle). Tyler won three
of the last four games and frustrated the senior Ockenfels.
Matt Callen fought back from being down 4-7, to tie it at 7-7,
before giving in with the 7-9 defeat.
