The Chillicothe Hornets Girls Golf team (5-0)
participated in the Pirate Invitational Tournament in Platte City. The
eleven team event was played at the Shiloh Springs Country Club.
Chillicothe placed 4th with a score of 409. Park Hill South won with a
score of 368 followed by Smithville's 386 and Platte County's 391. The
Hornets improved 32 strokes over the 441 from 2016. Twin sisters from
Platte county took the top two spots. Kasydie and Jaselyn Shipp shot 81
and 85 respectively. Riley Brobst led Chillicothe with a score of 95.
Junior Riley Brobst tied for eighth place. Riley is
playing and hitting great. She parred holes four, twelve and fourteen.
Freshman Hallie Jones shot a 99 for 16th place in the 57 player field.
Hallie parred holes three, thirteen and fourteen. Lexi Hargrave shot 105
for 21st place. Lexi parred her first hole, hole #18 over the water, and
hole thirteen. Maddie Lamp shot a score of 110 for 30th place. Maddie
parred holes eight and fourteen. The Hornets compete Monday, September 11
in Sedalia. |
