The Chillicothe Hornets Soccer team
picked up another win, beating Kirksville 5 to 0. Hornets Coach Tim
Cunningham called it an outstanding team performance, once again. He
said his team's energy, effort and enthusiasm was incredible
throughout the match.
Chillicothe had goals in the first half from Mason Baxter, assisted
by Ben Cueni-Smith in the 7th minute, Drake Cosgrove on a corner
kick in the 18th minute and Sam Reeter unassisted in the 22nd
minute.
In the second half, Baxter scored off a Cueni-Smith assist in the
49th minute and a Chace Corbin goal from a Baxter assist in the 76th
minute.
Coach Cunningham said Hornet defenders Dalton Ripley, Wyatt
Brandsgaard, Ethan Gabrielson and Logan Distler did a great job all
night against the Kirksville attack and the Hornets attack was on
point all match.
Keeper Jaxon Albertson had five saves on the night. |
