The Chillicothe Boys' tennis team (1-3) traveled to St Joseph to
play the Benton Cardinals. The Hornets won 5-4. Junior Chace Corbin
continues to play well, winning his singles 8-1 and his doubles,
with junior Emmett Young, 8-2. Seniors Caleb Corbin and Carter
Allen moved up to number one doubles and won 8-3. Caleb won
his singles, giving the Hornets their fifth victory and securing the
first win of the season. Sophomores Gabe Peterson and Shayden
Hawkins teamed up for the first time and came back from a 1-4
deficit to get the 9-7 doubles win. |
