The Chillicothe Boys' tennis team (4-9)
traveled to Maryville Thursday to play the Spoofhounds. The
Hornets lost 3-6. Sophomore Chace Corbin teamed up with his
cousin, senior Caleb Corbin, for the first time this season.
Chace and Caleb won the final four games to defeat the second
place MEC doubles team 8-4. Chace solidified his claim as the
second best player in the conference, by defeating Matt Goodridge 8-4. Chace is 15-4 in singles on the season. Senior
Carter Allen fought back and forth with Maryville junior Carson
Kempf. The two ended in a tie-breaker. Carter fell behind 2-6
in the tie-breaker, then won the final six points for the
dramatic victory.
