Chillicothe Maryville

Score

Singles

Josh Adams Mendez 5 - 9

"Adams went back and forth with Mendez for the majority of the match. Excellent ground strokes and serves on both sides presented an amazing match by both"

Jadon Collins Teale 4 - 8

"Collins did a great job with shot selection, making Teale work for every point. An even match, though the score didn't quite reflect it.

Jackson Reeter Groumoutis 4 - 8

"Reeter looked strong as he filled in the #3 slot, looking strong with shot selection and serves. Groumoutis even complimented Reeter post-match about his good play".

Andrew Snider Staples 3 - 8

"Snider was able to get some points on Maryville's #4. Ground strokes looked much improved and consistency helped him play well."

Parker Savage Sheil 5 - 8

"Savage really stepped up as he usually plays the #7 spot this season. We were impressed with his overall game play, showing a lot of improvement from the beginning of the season".

Austin Lyford Bowles 2 - 8

"Lyford played well in his first varsity match. Slicing the ball is one of Lyford's strengths that gave Bowles some trouble

Doubles

Adams /Collins Teale/Stapes 3 - 8

"Adams and Collins only struggled finishing the points as they would be up 40-30 or better. Both players (and the coaches) were pleased in their gamep lay with a needed focus on finishing points."

Reeter/Savage Mendez/Sheil 5 - 8

"Savage (#7) filled in for Peterson (#2) in this doubles match. Though the rankings say that there is a gap, you wouldn't know it as Savage and Reeter showed a lot of chemistry, winning a lot of points with great court awareness and put aways"

Snider/Lyford Groumoutis/Dinsdale 0 - 8

"Snider and Lyford could not get it going against a good #3 doubles for Maryville. The shots weren't landing, but it was encouraging to see good communication by both players."
