. The Lady
Hornets Softball team put another chalk mark in the win column
with a 6-0 road win at St Joseph Bishop LeBlond.
Chillicothe made a statement early when
Kerstin Dunn sent a 2-2 pitch over the fence for a game
lead-off home run and a 1-0- lead. The Lady Hornets had two
more reach base but left them stranded. In the Third inning
Hope Helton had a lead off triple to right field and was
brought home on a Boley sacrifice fly to lead 2-0.
Boley was on fire pitching, with three-up,
three-down for the first five innings.
The Lady Hornets had a strong sixth inning with a Adra
Stretch lead off single, a Lainie Epperson single then Tatum
Palmer bunts, Epperson and Albrecht scores to lead 3-0. A
double by the next batter, Katelynn Fleener score Palmer for
the final run.
At the plate Hope Helton went 3-for-4 with a home run,
a tripe and five RBI.
In the Circle, Boley had the 7-innings win, allowing
just two hits, a single in the 6th and 7th innings. Out of 81
pitches, 81 were strikes including nine strike outs. |
