The Chillicothe Lady Hornets are returning to the MSHSAA
Softball Semifinals for the second straight year, thanks to a
5-1 home win over Oak Grove in the Quarterfinal game.
Chillicothe started the scoring in the bottom of
the Third Inning Lainie Epperson singled to center field, Tori
Stoner reached on a bunt then Kerstin Dunn homers to left
field for a 3-0 lead.
Oak Grove scored their first and only run in the top of
the fourth off a double, two outs and an error on Chillicothe
that scored one.
In the Bottom of the Fifth Dunn walked, Helton singled,
Boley popped out, Dunn and Helton advanced on a catchers errr,
then Bonderer singled to left field to score both Dunn and
Helton.
