The Chillicothe Lady Hornets needed 11 innings to win a
pitchers dual in `a 1-0 win over Bowling Green in the MSHSAA
Softball semifinal game. Hornets Ace Kinlei Boley threw 121
pitches it the game, with 93 of them strikes.
Chillicothe had their chances in regulation, stranding
several runners including the bases loaded in the third inning
with one out, thanks to singles from Dunn and Helton plus an
intentional walk for Boley, but couldn't bring any of them
home.
In the bottom of the 11th inning, Fleener started with
a ground out, then Bre Pithan hits a 2-2 count to center field
for a home run to win the game.
In the game Helton had a double and two singles,
Pithan had a home run and a double with singles from Kirsten
Dunn and Adra Stretch.
