Coach Rucker:
Hadley Beemer pitched 4 solid innings for the win.
Landry Marsh threw 3 strong innings to get the save.
A key play came in the 2nd inning. Kirksville had
runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. Brianna Elsea hit a hard
ground ball just out of Beemer’s reach. Maicee Albrecht (2nd
baseman) made a great sliding catch and threw her out to end the
inning.
Offensively, the 3rd inning was huge for us. After
Kirksville got 2 runs in the top of the 3rd we answered with 5
runs on 4 hits and 1 walk, along with a passed ball. These girls
have shown the ability to play through some adversity and
respond when they need to. Tonight’s win was a great team
effort. |
