     Raymore Peculiar went on an 8-0 run late in the 1st quarter to take a six point lead and went on to beat the Chillicothe Lady Hornets 63-49 in the opening round of the Kearney tournament.
     The teams traded baskets most of the first quarter before the late run. Chillicothe turned cold in the 2nd quarter and trailed by double figures the entire second half, at times by as man as 21 points.
      Chillicothe had trouble overcoming a more physical Ray-Pec team, which forced several turnovers and out-rebounded the Hornets.
