Kearney went on a 21-0 run in the 1st and early second
quarter to polish off Chillicothe early in the contest and win
52-28. The Lady Bulldogs scored the first five points of the
game followed by a Kelsey Hicks basket for Chillicothe. After
that it was all Kearney, which forced 19 turnovers in the
first half.
Chillicothe trailed by as many as 40 points in the
second half and fell prey to Kearney's hot outside shooting.
Six different lady Bulldogs shot from behind the arc and
combined to go 9 of 25 from three point land while Chillicothe
was just 1 of 6 from outside.
Chillicothe's Erin Gilliland suffered a sprained
ankle at the end of the first half. It is unknown how much
time she will miss. |
