Two missed free throws and a turnover all in the final
30 seconds were the difference in a Chillicothe Lady Hornet
48-47 loss at Cameron.
Chillicothe was down by 2 points with 30 seconds left
when Sarah Baldwin was fouled in the act of shooting. The
Junior made one out of two shots to close the gap to one
point. Samantha McKiddy was fouled on a shot with 7 seconds
left, the Sophomore also made one out of two points to tie the
score
Cameron brought the ball down court when point guard
Anna Curtis was fouled with 4 seconds left. Curtis made the
front of a 1 and 1 but missed the second. Chillicothe
rebounded the ball but as the rest of both teams ran down
court, the Chillicothe ball handler dribbled the ball off her
foot and out of bounds with 2 seconds left. Cameron in-bounded
the ball and the game was over.
Chillicothe was down by 11 points in the 3rd quarter
but went on a 13-0 run to lead by 2 at the end of the third. |
