Chillicothe Junior Maddy Williams put the first points
on the scoreboard with a right-wing trey and the Lady Hornets never
trailed, beating Maryville 49-37 in the Savannah Tournament.
Chillicothe went on an 8-0 run in the 2nd quarter to build an 11
point cushion.
Senior Sarah Baldwin lit it up in the fourth quarter,
scoring 13 of her 18 points in the final quarter and finishing with
a double-double with 15 rebounds. Baldwin went 9 of 10 from the free
throw line in the fourth quarter, scoring 13 of the team’s 15 fourth
quarter points.
In addition to Baldwin’s 18 points, Maddy Williams had
9, Erin Gilliland and Samantha McKiddy with 8 each, Mackenzie
Barnett with 4, Maggie Graves with 2 and playing time for Mallory
Gaston, Bridgett Kieffer, Lexi Snyder and Crysten Lollar. |
