South Harrison picked up
their first win of the season at the expense of Chillicothe,
beating the Lady Hornets 48-40. The game was a foul-fest with
Chillicothe whistled 27 times and South Harrison 20 times.
Chillicothe had starters Sarah Baldwin and Maddy Williams foul
out of the game in the fourth quarter in a game that never
allowed Chillicothe to get into the flow of the game, thanks
to the constant whistles.
Chillicothe shot 21 of 33 at the free throw line, scoring
more points at the charity stripe than on the floor in the
game. South Harrison went 18 of 35 at the free throw line.
South Harrison led most of the first three quarters,
but a Lady Hornets basket in the opening minute of the fourth
gave them a one point lead. The next 2:16 saw both teams go
scoreless. Once the Lady Bulldogs scored in the fourth, it
sparked a 4-0 run that they held the rest of the game.
