     A large and rowdy crowd watched the Chillicothe Lady Hornets dominate the first quarter and go on to beat St Joseph LeBlond 51-36 in the conference opener. Chillicothe rattled off the first ten points of the game, holding LeBlond scoreless for the first four minutes. The game was never in doubt after that.
     The Lady Hornets led 21-5 after the first quarter and led by 20 or more points most of the second and third quarters. Chillicothe used their height and aggressiveness to enjoy a sizeable rebounding advantage in the first half.
     LeBlond tried to fight back in the second half, closing the gap to 14 early in the fourth but could not get any closer.
