Chillicothe gave up 23 points in the first quarter and
never recovered, falling to St Joseph Central 66-49 in the
opening round of the Cameron Tournament.
Chillicothe's Maddy Williams made the first shot,
a trey, but the Lady Hornets then gave up the next 15 points
and trailed by double figures the rest of the night.
Chillicothe was playing with out two starters. Sarah
Baldwin, the lone Senior on the team, is done for the year
with a torn ACL that will require surgery. 5'11 Junior
Samantha McKiddy is out for an unknown amount of time after
re-aggravating an injury.
St Joseph Central scored several baskets from fast
break lay-ups that were set up by numerous steals on defense.
Chillicothe plays Wednesday at 4:00pm against St Joseph
LeBlond.
