     The Chillicothe Lady Hornets had a strong second half to win the District Championship in a packed CHS gym over Lafayette 51 to 37. It is the program's 11th district title and the first one since 2020.
    The teams battled through a back and forth first half with several lead changes. The Lady Hornets opened up a four point lead early in the second half and never trailed again.
    Chillicothe again had  balanced attack with four players in double figures. It was the second time the Lady Hornets beat Lafayette this season, needing overtime in the conference game 53 to 48.
